X-ray protection

First of all, I understand that the trial world has little to no greif protection, and I understand why this is, but recently, I have found some evidence of cheating, specifically the x-ray kind.
In my home, which is in a cave, I have a few hidden chests. These are well hidden, a few blocks behind random walls, and replaced with smooth stone. There is zero evidence that these chests exist. But this morning, I logged in to see that from my home, tunnels were dug directly to these chests, with no evidence of searching around. I understand that greifing and stealing is allowed, but from my understanding, cheating like this is against the rules.
What I am suggesting is a plugin that I have seen on other servers, where any x-rayed blocks turn into random ores. I believe this works in a way that whenever a block is seen, but is surrounded by other blocks, it changes. This includes blocks behind chests, though, as there is some room around the edges that expose the block behind them.
All that I am saying is that while greifing is allowed, cheating should not be. Thanks for reading this, and I hope you take this into consideration.
